Water is essential for a healthy skin. Skin dries up and becomes saggy because of the loss of water from the cells. Water based face packs provide the necessary moisture to the skin cells. Apart from this, they also help in toning the skin. Wrinkles can also be kept at bay with these homemade water based face packs. These packs are generally helpful in winters as skin readily loses moisture during this time.
Few of the effective water based face packs are mentioned below.
Strawberry and water based face pack:
- Mash three strawberries in a bowl to get the pulp.
- Add one teaspoon of rose water to the mashed pulp.
- Mix both of them into a fine paste.
- Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
- Let it stay for 30 minutes.
- Then, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Give a final rinse with cold water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
Olive face pack:
- Add one tablespoon of cornflakes powder to two tablespoons of water.
- Mix well to make a paste.
- In another bowl mix one tablespoon of almond oil with one teaspoon of olive oil.
- Now add this oil mixture to the cornflakes paste drop by drop.
- Continuously blend the paste while adding these drops of oil mixture.
- After all the ingredients are well mixed, apply on the face and the neck.
- Let it stay for sometime.
- Then, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Give a final rinse with cold water.
- Apply regularly for better results
Orange face pack:
- Take one teaspoon of multani mitti in a bowl.
- Add two teaspoons of rose water to it.
- Mix well and set it aside for half an hour.
- Then add one teaspoon of orange juice to it.
- Also add one tablespoon of honey to it.
- Blend all the ingredients into a fine paste.
- Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
- Let it dry.
- Then, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Give a final rinse with cold water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
Honey face pack:
- Take two teaspoons of multani mitti in a bowl.
- Add two teaspoons of rose water to it.
- Mix well and set it aside for half an hour.
- Then add one teaspoon of lime juice to it.
- Also add half tablespoon of honey to it.
- Blend all the ingredients into a fine paste.
- Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
- Let it stay for 15 minutes.
- Then, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Give a final rinse with cold water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
Tomato face pack:
- Take one twenty five grams of yogurt in a bowl.
- Add two to three tablespoons of tomato juice to it.
- In another container, take fifty grams of oatmeal and add hundred ml of distilled water to it.
- Place this mixture on a low flame and bring it boil.
- Remove it from the flame after about 20 minutes.
- Then add yoghurt with tomato juice to this mixture.
- Blend all of them into a fine paste.
- Apply this paste on the face and the neck after it gets cooled down.
- Let it stay for 30 minutes.
- Then, wash the face with cold water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
Strawberry face pack:
- Mash three fresh strawberries in a bowl to get the pulp.
- Add rose water in small quantities while mashing.
- Mix well and apply it on the face and the neck.
- Let it stay for 10 -15 minutes.
- After drying, rinse it off with rose water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
Grape and oatmeal face pack:
- Extract juice from the grapes and keep it aside.
- Take 4-5 tablespoons of oatmeal in a bowl and make it into a fine paste by using the extracted grape juice.
- Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
- Let it dry.
- After drying, rinse it off with water.
- Apply regularly for better results.
