By the end of the day, the skin usually gets tired and loses its vigor. Night creams help in restoring this lost vigor to the skin. Collagen, elastin and other essential lipids which are present in the night creams refresh the skin while sleeping. Apart from this, they also moisturize the skin.
Night creams can be prepared at home with the help of the ingredients available in the kitchen. These homemade night creams are much effective than the expensive products that are available in the market. Few of the effective homemade night cream recipes are mentioned below.
Apple night cream:
Blend about five hundred grams of apples with the help of a blender.
Add five hundred grams of vegetable fat to the blended apples.
Heat this mixture on a low flame. Make sure to stir continuously.
Continue heating until the ingredients are well mixed.
After heating, add one cup of rose water and one tablespoon of tincture of benzoin to the heated mixture.
Mix all of them to make a paste.
Refrigerate it after cooling down.
Rosewater night creams:
Place about thirty grams of white wax on a low flame for melting.
Also add half cup of almond oil to it while melting.
After the mixture is completely melted add rose water to it.
Let it cool down.
After cooling, add half teaspoon of sodium benzoate to the mixture.
Refrigerate this mixture for a day. This helps in the setting of the mixture.
Apply every night for good results.
Almond night cream:
Take one medium sized avocado and extract the juice from it.
Then add one cup of almond oil to the extracted juice.
Mix both if them
In another container melt ten gram of beeswax.
Add this melted beeswax to the above mixture.
Then add one and half teaspoon of sodium benzoate to it.
Mix well and store it.
Apply every night and rinse it off in the morning with lukewarm water.
Conditioner night cream:
Melt 3 tablespoons of almond oil, 2 tablespoons of hydrous lanolin and 2 tablespoons of cocoa butter on low fame.
After melting, add 2 teaspoons of rose water and 1/2 teaspoon of honey to the above mixture.
Blend them with the help of a blender to make a paste.
Apply this paste every night for good results.
Homemade night cream:
Add 1 tablespoon of wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon of apricot kernel oil to 3 tablespoons of boiled water.
Also add 8 tablespoons of granular lecithin (the water-dispersible kind), 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, 2 tablespoons of sunflower seed oil, 2 tablespoons of walnut oil and 1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder to the above mixture.
Blend all of them with the help of a blender to make a cream.
You can also add a few drops of your favorite perfume for good aura.
This cream can be stored in the glass jars for a long time.
Slightly massage while applying it every night. Rinse it off with water in the morning.
Use regularly for good results.
Olive Oil Night Cream:
Melt about 3 tablespoons of white wax and ½ cup of olive oil on a low flame.
Add ¼ cup of vinegar to the melted mixture.
Also add ¼ cup of water to the above mixture.
Refrigerate the mixture.
Apply every night for best results.
Cucumber Night Cream:
Take only the egg white in a bowl. Discard the yolk.
To this add ½ of unpeeled and chopped cucumber.
Then add ½ cup of olive oil to the above mixture.
Blend all of them with the help of a blender to make a thick cream.
Apply on the face and the neck.
Let it stay for 20 minutes.
Then, wipe it off with a dry cloth.
You can store this mixture by refrigerating it.
Rich Apricot Cold Cream:
Melt 5 oz of apricot kernel oil, 1 oz of cocoa butter and 1 oz of beeswax on a low flame.
Stir continuously until all of them are well mixed.
Cool it down.
This can be stored for a week when refrigerated.
