Hair is the natural jewel that adds up to the beauty of women. Regular hair care helps in preserving this precious jewel. This includes regular washing and conditioning. Regular conditioning adds shine and smoothness to the hair. This can be done with the help of the homemade conditioners. It also provides extra nutrition to it. Deep conditioning adds volume to the hair.
One need not spend money to buy those expensive conditioners. Home made conditioners are more effective and safer than these chemical products. A good conditioner can be prepared with the help of the ingredients available in the kitchen. Few effective homemade conditioners are mentioned below.
Using mayonnaise and avocado:
- Take one cup of mayonnaise in a bowl.
- Add half cup of avocado to it.
- Squeeze the above mixture until it turns into light green color.
- Your homemade conditioner is now ready.
- Apply this conditioner on the hair strands. Avoid applying on the scalp.
- Use a shower cap or wrap to cover the head.
- Let it stay for 20 minutes.
- You can also wrap a hot, damp towel around your head. This provides deep conditioning to the hair.
- Rinse it off with warm water.
Using avocado and coconut milk:
- Peel one avocado and mash it.
- Add some coconut milk to the above mash.
- Continue mashing until it becomes a thick smooth paste.
- Slowly comb this thick mash through the hair.
- Let it stay for 10-15 minutes.
- Then, rinse it off with warm water.
Using Egg:
- Beat the egg yolk in a bowl. Continue beating until it develops froth.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baby oil to the beaten egg yolk.
- Continue beating the above mixture until it mixes well.
- Dilute the above mixture by adding one cup of water.
- Slowly massage this mixture into the scalp.
- Also apply it on the hair strands.
- Rinse it off with warm water after sometime.
Using Egg and olive oil:
- Beat the egg yolk in a bowl. Continue beating until a thick and light colored liquid is formed.
- Add few drops of olive oil in between.
- Then dilute the above liquid by adding about 3/4 cup lukewarm water to it.
- Continue beating until all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Slowly massage this mixture into the scalp.
- Also apply it on the hair strands.
- This should be done after shampooing.
- Rinse it off with warm water after sometime.
Using apple cider vinegar:
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to 3 cups of distilled water.
- After shampooing, use this vinegar water to give a final rinse to your hair.
- This provides softness to the hair.
- This is effective for all hair types.
Using egg and Yoghurt:
- Beat the egg yolk in a bowl. Continue beating until it develops froth.
- Drain the above into 5 tablespoons of yoghurt.
- Mix well and apply it all over the hair.
- Stay for 15 minutes.
- Then, rinse it off with warm water.
Using hot oil:
- Pour half cup of boiling water into a glass bottle.
- Then, pour another half cup of olive oil into it.
- Emulsify the mixture by shaking the bottle.
- Do not touch the bottle with bare hands. It may burn your hands.
- Use gloves while shaking.
- Once it is emulsified, pour little amounts of this mixture onto your hands and slowly start massaging the scalp.
- Also apply this on the hair strands.
- Make sure not to burn your hands and scalp.
- Use a shower cap or wrap to cover the head.
- You can also wrap a hot, damp towel around your head. This provides deep conditioning to the hair.
- Let it stay for 30 minutes.
- Then wash the hair using a mild shampoo.
Using rice bran or wheat bran:
- Make a thin paste by adding 6 tablespoons of rice bran or wheat bran to hot water.
- Then, add 3 tablespoons of avocado and a drop of sesame oil to the paste.
- Blend them all with the help of a blender.
- Apply it to the hair after shampooing.
- Wrap a hot, damp towel around your head after the application.
- After sometime give a final wash.
