Homemade Face Scrubs for All Skin Types

Daily cleansing is not sufficient to remove the dirt, black heads and dead cells from your face. Exfoliation once in a while is a must to have a flawless skin. This can be done with the help of homemade face scrubs. Scrubbing effectively removes the dirt, white heads, black heads and dead cells from the skin.

Money need not be spent on the expensive scrubs that are available in the market. Scrubs can also be prepared at home with the ingredients that are available in the kitchen. The homemade face scrubs for all skin types are far more effective than the ones that are available in the market. Few effective homemade face scrubs for all skin types can be prepared at home with the help of the following recipes.

Oat meal scrub:

  • Add one tablespoon of fresh curd to one cup of grinded oatmeal.
  • Mix well to make a fine paste.
  • Also add water if necessary.
  • Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • After drying, remove it by scrubbing.
  • Finally, rinse it off with water.

Apricot face scrub:

  • Mash one or two apricots in a bowl.
  • Add few drops of almond oil to the mashed apricots.
  • Mix well and apply on the face and the neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • After drying, remove it by scrubbing.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Kiwi fruit face scrub:

  • Mash one or two kiwi fruits in a bowl.
  • Add few drops of almond oil or olive oil to the mashed fruits.
  • Mix well and rub it on the face and neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Honey and Salt facial scrub:

  • Add two table spoons of dry milk powder to a cup of fine ground salt.
  • Also add two table spoons of blue clay/mud, 1/3 cup of honey, and 1/3 cup of virgin olive oil to it.
  • Mix well and rub on the face and the neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • After drying, use a wet towel to wipe it off.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Walnut face scrub:

  • Take grounded walnuts in a bowl and add milk to it.
  • Make a thick coarse paste by adding rose water in between.
  • Mix well and rub it on the face and neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Honey cleansing scrub :

  • Take 2 tablespoons of grounded almonds in a bowl.
  • Add one tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to it.
  • Mix well and rub it on the face and neck for sometime.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Wheat Husk facial scrub:

  • Add one tablespoon of honey to half cup of wheat husk.
  • Make a thick paste while adding milk in between.
  • Mix well and rub it on the face and neck for sometime.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Gentle Face Scrub:

  • Take 3 teaspoons of oatmeal in a bowl.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of grounded almonds to it.
  • Also add 3 tablespoons of powdered milk and 2 tablespoons of powdered rose petals to it.
  • Make a thick paste by adding few drops of almond oil in between.
  • Mix well and rub it on the face and neck for sometime.
  • Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Avocado face scrub:

  • Powder dried avocado and store them.
  • Take some amount of the powdered avocado in a bowl.
  • Make it into a thick paste by adding milk to the powder.
  • Apply this paste on the face and the neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • After drying, remove it by scrubbing.

Corn Flour facial scrub:

  • Take only the egg white in a bowl. Discard the yolk.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of corn flour to it.
  • Mix well to make a thick paste.
  • Rub this paste on the face and the neck.
  • Let it dry.
  • After drying, rinse it off with water.

Brown sugar face scrub:

  • Take some amount of granulated brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Add one-fourth (1/4th) cup of olive oil and few drops of lemon juice to it.
  • You can also add few drops of lavender oil.
  • Mix all of them and rub on the face and the neck.
  • After sometime, rinse it off with water.

The above are few homemade face scrubs for all skin types that help in scrubbing away the dirt and dead cells from the facial skin.
