Homemade Face Packs for Dry Skin

Dry skin makes a face look lifeless. Skin cracks due to the lack of moisture. This occurs when the sebaceous glands produce less or no sebum. Skin dries up when it is exposed to the extreme conditions. Few people have dry skin because of heredity. Dry skin can be treated by taking certain measures. This problem can be solved with the help of homemade face packs for dry skin.

Homemade face packs for dry skin can help in retaining the moisture on the skin. These packs also prevent the skin from cracking. You can have a beautiful skin with the help of the kitchen ingredients at no cost. Few of the effective homemade face packs for dry skin are mentioned below

Mint face pack:

Add one teaspoon of mint powder and one tablespoon of multani mitti to one tablespoon of yogurt.

Leave this mixture aside for about 30 minutes.

Use a blender to blend them well.

After blending, apply it on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

Rinse with lukewarm water first and then with cold water.

Egg face pack:

Beat the egg yolk in a bowl.

Add one teaspoon of milk powder and half teaspoon of honey to it.

Continue beating until a slightly thick liquid is formed.

Apply it on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with warm water.

Clay face pack:

Take only the egg white in a bowl. Discard the yolk.

Add equal amounts of clay/kaolin, cornflower and oats to it.

Beat all of them to make a fine paste.

Then, add 1 teaspoon of wheat germ oil or evening primrose oil to the above made paste.

Also add 1 drop of chamomile (Roman or German) oil and 2 drops of carrot seed oil to it.

Mix all of them and apply on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with warm water.

Avocado face mask:

Mash half avocado in a bowl. You can also use two teaspoons of avocado oil instead.

Add one fourth cup of honey to it.

Mix both of them and apply on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with warm water.

Egg and honey face pack:

Beat the egg yolk in a bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of honey to it.

Make sure to warm the honey before adding. This helps it to mix well.

You can also add vitamin E oil to the above mixture.

Mix all of them and apply on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with warm water.

Avocado face mask with essential oil:

Take 50 grams of avocado flesh into a bowl.

Blend it with the help of a blender.

Then, add 25 grams of orange juice to it.

Also add 1 teaspoon of warm honey, 1 teaspoon of molasses and 4 to 5 drops of any essential oil to it.

Mix all of them and apply on the face and neck.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with warm water.

Banana face pack:

Mash one fourth of a ripe banana in a bowl.

Add half cup of yoghurt to it.

Also add 1 tablespoon of warm honey.

Beat them all into a fine paste.

Apply this paste on the face and neck.

Let it stay for 10 minute.

Rinse it off with warm water.

Dry skin mask:

Add 1 tablespoon of butter to 1 tablespoon of water.

Mix both of them.

Apply this mixture on the face, neck and other dry areas.

Let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes.

Use cold water to rinse it off.

Almond face pack:

Soak few almonds overnight.

Grind them into a fine paste by adding honey in between.

Apply this paste on the face, neck and other dry areas.

Let it stay for 20 minutes.

Use lukewarm water to rinse it off.

Gram flour mask:

Add a pinch of turmeric powder to the gram flour.

Make it into a fine paste with the help of milk cream.

You can also use raw milk instead.

Apply this paste on the face, neck and other dry areas.

Let it dry.

After drying, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
